Tourists from Germany, Italy and Great Britain account for more than half of all passengers arriving to Ukrainian ports on cruise liners, informs Interfax-Ukraine.
According to press service statement of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry, for the last five years the number of ships arriving at Ukrainian ports increased by 40%; and the number of passengers by 53,4%.
“More often, the Black Sea region is visited by tourists from Germany (23,2%), Great Britain (17,7%) and Italy (12,4%). Number of tourists from CIS countries this year amounted to 6,1%.”- reads the statement.
As noted, the growth of the number of passengers indicates that the region is increasingly visited by ships with a large passenger capacity.
