This holiday season Crimean authorities are staking on religious tourism, Sergei Strelbitsky, "Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic," said in his interview with journalists.

According to him, in addition to the existing pilgrimage tour "Ways of the Crimean Khans," another religious tour "Easter in Crimea” is now being developed.

“The Ministry is ready to provide any information and organizational support to all confessions that will be celebrating major religious holidays during the year. In our opinion, this is something the Crimea is rich in. We should declare to the whole country that Easter and Eid al-Adha can be celebrated in Crimea,” said Strelbitsky as cited by RIA Novosti.

According to the Crimean Ministry of Resorts and Tourism, a total of 4,418 million tourists rested in Crimea for eleven months of 2015, which is allegedly by 27.7% more than in 2014. In 2013, Crimea received 5,890 tourists, and in 2012 – 6,134 million.
