An international Rally Fest Presidents Cup 2013 has started in Yalta (Crimea). The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Georgiy Psarev, who on behalf of the head of the Crimean government Anatoly Mogilev greeted event organizers, participants and spectators.
According to rally’s press-center, about 100 professional crews from Ukraine, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland and other countries will take part in the event.
“The 5th stage of Ukrainian championship and 15th stage of ERC (European Rally Championship) is to take place in the framework of International rally. The racers will run 511 km of Yalta route”, - the press-center noted.
Resorts and Tourism Minister of Crimea Aleksander Lyiv noted that the organizers prepared a new format for the competition. This year the event will be accompanied by a large-scale concert program. Popular Ukrainian and Russian artists will perform on Yalta quay.
Besides it, an auction show of expensive automobiles is expected.
As reported earlier, Yalta Rally takes place since 2005. In 2010 it was included in the calendar of Intercontinental Rally Challenge championship.
