RIO DE JANEIRO (QHA) -

Ukrainian athletes continue to win at the Paralympics in Rio. On the 5th day of the Games, our team has gained 12 medals: 4 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze.

Gold was won by the runner Igor Tsvetov, saber fencers Anton Datsko and Andrey Demchuk, and swimmer Denis Dubrov.

Silver was gained by runner Oksana Boturchuk and swimmers: Jaroslav Denisenko, Anna Stetsenko, Eugene Bogodayko, Maxim Kripak and Olga Sviderskaya.

Bronze medals were awarded to Roman Pavlik (long jump) and Marina Poddubnaya (swimming).

In the Paralympics football tournament, the Ukrainian team also has beaten the Brazilians advancing to the semifinals, where it will compete with the Netherlands team.

In general medal standings, Ukraine is still in the third place, with only two medals behind the UK team.
