Ukrainian Larysa Solovyova won a gold medal in powerlifting competitions in the middle weight class at the World Games, UNIAN reported.

38-year-old athlete lifted 605 kilograms in total amount. She lifted 225 kilograms in a squat, 170 kg in bench press and 210 kg in deadlift. Anna Ryzhkova from Russia got silver in this discipline, and Chinese athlete Hui-Chun Wu got bronze.

Solovyova's fourth gold award is a unique achievement at the World Games, the largest forum of non-Olympic sports. Larysa Solovyova, the legend of Ukrainian powerlifting, previously won World Games in Duisburg in 2005, in Gao-Xun in 2009 and in Kali in 2013. Four top awards, which are won in four different international competitions during 12 years, is the absolute record of the World Games.

It is the second gold for the national team of Ukraine at the World Games-2017 .

Earlier QHA reported that Ekaterina Delovaya, who won bronze in underwater swimming for 50 meters, had brought the first medal Ukrainian team.
