Kyiv (QHA) - World Fencing Championship ended in Budapest, where Ukrainian women's saber team won the gold medal in the team event the last day, informs forUm.
According to the official website of the competition, the team included Olga Harlan, Halyna Pundyk, Alina Komaschuk and Olena Voronina.
Ukrainians defeated current champions - the Russians - 45:44. Harlan delivered the winning point.
Ukraine women's team became a two-time world champion. Earlier, Ukrainian women led in 2009 in Antalya. Team leader Harlan became a triple world champion, having won individual gold.
