Ferrari Challenge Europe 2013. Ukraine gains major awards

Team Ukraine racing with Ferrari successfully completed the season, gaining two major awards of Ferrari Challenge Europe 2013, Ukrinform reports.

Young pilot Serhiy Chukanov became a champion in the most prestigious competition - Trofeo Pirelli, while Andriy Lybid won the bronze medal in Coppa Shell. Ferrari Team Ukraine got the best results in team standings.

As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych congratulated the Ukrainian racing team "Team Ukraine racing with Ferrari" on winning.

"In a tense struggle, the Ukrainian team has demonstrated its talent and high skills," reads a letter of congratulations posted on the president's official website.

The president wished the team success and future victories. "I hope that your team will further achieve victories in the world competitions," Yanukovych noted.

Note: The Ferrari Challenge is a single-marque motorsport championship that was created in 1993 for owners of the 348 Berlinetta who wanted to become involved in racing. It now encompasses three official championships in the United States, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. Competitors from each series are brought together at the annual World Finals (Finali Mondiali) event. Since 2007, the Ferrari Challenge exclusively used the Ferrari F430 model.
