Crimean wrestlers won bronze in Almetyevsk

Three Crimean wrestlers have won bronze in all- Russian Kuresh Competition named after Musa Dzhalil-- Soviet Tatar poet and resistance fighter.

More than 250 sportsmen took part in the competition, which was held Feb 7 in Almetyevsk, Russian republic of Tatarstan.

Three of six wrestlers, who represented Crimea in the competition, got bronze medals. These are Rustem Umerov, Emil Eredzhepov and Asan Asanov.

To recall, Crimean Tatar wrestler Umer Bilyalov has won the title of Kuresh World Champion in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan in November.

Note: Kuresh is a traditional Turkic belt-wrestling. Wrestlers use towels to hold their opponents, and their goal is to throw their opponents off the feet.
