September 27 is the United Nations’ (UN) World Tourism Day. The day aims to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych expressed confidence in the successful development of the tourism industry in Ukraine.
The head of state said this in his congratulatory message on the occasion of World Tourism Day, the president's press office reported Friday, according to Ukrinform.
"I am confident that we will continue to strengthen the public-private partnership for the transformation of our country into a comfortable and attractive region of Europe for domestic and foreign lovers of travels near and far," Yanukovych emphasized.
