BAKHCHYSARAI (QHA) -

According to sources in Crimea, the car of missing Erwin Ibrahimov was pursued in the town of Bakhchysarai by Skoda Octavia with the number plate 350, registered in the 36th region of the Russian Federation (Voronezh region).

Witnesses ask to give this information to lawyers.

Zair Smedlyaev, Head of the Qurultai Central Election Commission, told a QHA correspondent that before his disappearance, Ibrahimov had made a call to his parents and asked about the documents on the car.

“Most likely, he was driving home when he was stopped by the traffic police. He didn’t come home for the documents and there have not been any calls from him,” Smedlyaev said.

On the morning of May 25, Ibrahimov did not show up for a meeting with compatriots to go to the court in the town of Sudak. It was reported earlier that Ibrahimov's car was found near the entrance to his house.

Just a reminder: Eight Muslims have been kept in custody on charges of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir organization at Simferopol pre-trial detention center since 2014.

February 11, 2016, searches and arrests took place in homes of 12 Crimean residents.

In March, 2016, a three-hour search was conducted in the house of a Qurultai delegate Remzi Muratov in the village of Dmytrivka, Dzhankoy district of Crimea.

OMON officers (Russian special forces) searched the house of another Qurultai delegate Shevket Usmanov located in the village of Vesele, Sudak district. On this day, Usmanov was in Kyiv. So, his sons and wife Ilmira were watching the situation.

On May 6, Russian FSB Security Forces stormed a mosque in the village of Molodizhne, Simferopol district, during Jumu'ah and detained about a hundred Muslims putting them on the buses. On the way to the intended destination, the Russian Security Forces have released all of the detainees, ordering every of them to show up at the police station.

Mustafa Jemilev, Leader of the Crimean Tatars and Commissioner of Ukrainian President on Crimean Tatar Affairs, believes that by means of threats and violence the Russian authorities are trying to persuade the Muslims in annexed Crimea to cooperation.
