On the eve of the memorable day of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people on May 18, 1944 in Ukraine, website may18.net, dedicated to the tragic events was launched.

The site presents the works of the famous Crimean Tatar artist Rustem Eminov. A series of paintings describing the horrors of deportation are supplemented by a corresponding sound track.

Apart from creating paintings, Rustem Eminov writes poems. One can familiarize with his works, full of boundless love for the Motherland and his people, on the site as well.

“Listen and look at the works and read the poems - the annotations to the pictures, and for a moment you will feel in place of our fathers and mothers. Remember this feeling!” Lenur Islyamov, Director General of the Crimean Tatar television channel ATR, wrote on his Facebook page.
