Today at 10.30 a.m. in Brussels, at the De l'Aviation Square, representatives of the human rights organization "International Partnership for Human Rights" (IHRL) along with other activists will hold a rally in support of the Mejlis Deputy Chairman Ilmi Umerov, IPHR representatives told KrymSOS.

The Crimean Tatar activists living in the capital of Poland has decided to stage a similar event today at 4 p.m. outside the Russian Embassy in Warsaw.

In May 2016 Ilmi Umer was arrested by FSB agents on charges of calling to violate the territorial integrity of Russia.

This is the eighth day the Mejlis Deputy Chairman is locked up in the psychiatric hospital in the city of Simferopol in order to undergo compulsory forensic psychiatric examination.
