WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The Commissioner of Ukrainian President on Crimean Tatar Affairs Mustafa Jemilev has begun his visit to the United States, according to his Facebook page.

So, at the invitation of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Valeriy Chaly, Jemilev will take part in ceremonies being held in Washington to mark the 25th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine.

“I am supposed to participate in the event "Ukraine-25. Winning the Battle for Freedom," which will take place in the Capitol of the US Congress, delivering my speech on the situation in the occupied Crimea,” reads the statement.

In addition, the program of Mustafa Jemilev’s visit provides for his participation in other events that will be held in the United States during this and next week.
