Designers of propaganda leaflets for the Russian party used without permission a picture by the Swedish illustrator Nils-Petter Ekwall, which he painted in 2013 for the cover of The Specialist, a special appendix of the British Financial Times business newspaper.

The Ekwall’s picture shows the city, cars, trains, helicopters and a windmill. In the center of the picture one can see an inscription “Bridging the gap”. The picture for the United Russia party doesn’t have a helicopter, windmills and factories, but a well-groomed yard and home. The center of the image has an inscription "Let's create the future together!" The headquarte of the Party that distributed the picture is registered in the city of Veliky Novgorod.
