'Ukrenergo' started replacing destroyed transmission power line

Repair crew has started replacing the transmission power line "Kakhovka-Titan", which supplied electricity to Crimea and two districts in the Kherson region.

Replacement of the first out of four transmission power lines has finally started, reports the "Ukrenergo" press service. The "Kakhovka-Titan" 220 kW power line supplied electrcity to Crimea and several districts in the Kherson region.

- Brigade left at dawn, now a drilling machine is working and a general cleaning is being carried out... A completely new transmission line will be installed instead of the destroyed one. After that, we will repair adjacent damaged lines and solve, told the press service.

According to "Ukrenergo", today the company has access only to this one transmission line, the repair of the other lines has not been discussed yet.

The power from the mainland Ukraine can be supplied to the Russia-occupied Crimea via four transmission lines: 330 kV "Kakhovka-Dzhankoy", 330 kV "Kakhovka-Ostrovskaya" 330 kV "Melitopol-Dzhankoy" and 220 kV "Kakhovka Titan."
