LONDON (QHA) -

About a thousand of Ukrainians in national embroidered shirts walked through the central streets of the British capital, according to BBC Ukraine.

Reportedly, the March of national embroidered shirts was accompanied with songs and dances. The march began at the Marble Arch with singing of the Ukraine anthem and a memory silence minute dedicated to the Ukrainian soldiers who died in the Donbas.

A column of people in national Ukrainian clothes moved through Park Lane to St. James Park and to Buckingham Palace.

March of national embroidered shirts took place in London for the fifth time. Such events are very important, because they popularize Ukrainian culture and customs, according to the March organizers – the charitable center “London Evromaidan” and the Union of Ukrainians in the UK.

Earlier the events devoted to Kyiv City Day took place on the last May weekend in Kyiv. Many Ukrainian capital residents came there in national embroidered clothes.
