Ukrainians face ban on entry to Russian Federation

New rules for Ukrainians staying in Russia entered into force.

Ukrainian citizens, who have violated the permitted length of stay in the territory of the Russian Federation (90 days within 180 days) and have not processed their stay permits, will be subject to administrative penalties, including Russia’s entry ban, starting December 1, 2015, says a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukrainian.

The MFA of Ukraine has urged the compatriots, who are staying or going to seek employment in the territory of Russia, to observe the rules of registration of employment or legal status in this country, and take all necessary measures to obtain the corresponding residence permits and work patents or permits. 

“We would like Ukrainian citizens to know that the employees of consular offices of Ukraine are ready to provide immediate assistance to their compatriots. In case of violating any rights of Ukrainian citizens in Russia, please do not hesitate to contact the Response Center of the MFA of Ukraine using our 24-hour hotline (+ 38 044) 238−16−57.
