To date, most of the Ukrainian soldiers, who are registered in the army reserve, are ready to confront the increasing Russia’s aggression, the Chief of the General Staff with Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko reported on Facebook.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine created an operational military reserve of 85,000 people - with combat experience and a high level of psychological readiness (80%) to defend the Ukrainian people. We start training sessions with reservists in 9 combat brigades of the operational command of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces, said Muzhenko.

According to him, the drills will involve about 8 thousand reservists, who will fulfill combat tasks jointly with contract soldiers. This, in turn, will maintain combat readiness of the military reserve that must be available in the case of a full-scale offensive by the Russian Federation.
