SIMFEROPOL (QHA) -
Two prisoners in penitentiaries in the territory of the Russian-occupied Crimea, Andrei Lugin and Yury Mikhailov announced the beginning of a "dry" hunger strike.

Their demand is a transfer to prison on the mainland of Ukraine.

It is noted that the occupation authorities call the convicted citizens of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Ukrainian citizen Andrei Lugin, who is held in Simferopol remand centre, wrote an appeal to the International Human Rights Institutions, the President of Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry and others, in which he announced that he was going on a "dry hunger strike" the next day due to gross violations of human rights and Civil liberties by occupying power,  namely forced  imposition of Russian citizenship.
