KYIV (QHA) -

Journalists with the Ukrainian TV Channel "2 + 2" inquiried into Russia’s annexation of the Crimean peninsula, as well as asked its citizens about the life under the invader's patronage.

As it turned out, many residents are unhappy with the new orders, high prices and falling living standards in Russia-occupied Crimea. At the same time, residents of the Russian capital, interviewed by the journalists, share the same opinion.

Known since the time of the annexation of Crimea, Yuliy Mamchur, Ukrainian Colonel and now a Ukrainian MP, said that the defense capability of the peninsula was deliberately destroyed.

In turn, Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov told about mass human rights violations in the occupied peninsula.

- Young people started disappearing, we found some of them dead. The most effective tool the occupying authorities use is the attempts to strike fear into the minds of the society. This is when at 5.00 a.m. some armed men break into your house, smash the windows and the glass shards fall on your little children, said Refat Chubarov.
