Lawyer Mark Feigin filed a petition to include documents from Ukraine in the cause of the journalist Roman Sushchenko illegally detained in Moscow. The specified documents include a statement of Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine indicating that Sushchenko is not an employee of the department, the Russian human rights activist reported to Ukrinform himself.
“No legal proceedings in the Sushchenko’s case has yet been foreseen. Meanwhile, I received the documents and filed a petition to attach them to the case. They are certificate of Roman’s education of a journalist, statement of Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine proving he is not their employee and Sushchenko’s job history record received from Ukrinform ,” Feigin said.
Earlier QHA reported on the detention of a citizen of Ukraine which became known on October 2. Russian FSB claims that the journalist is a spy of the Chief of the Defense intelligence of Ukraine. November 28, Lefortovo District Court of Moscow ruled to extend the arrest of the Ukrainian journalist for 2 more months.
