Last year military medicine started passing its major exam and underwent a number of positive changes as currently the foreign colleagues give a high rating to the Ukrainian physicians’ qualification, said Vsevolod Steblyuk, Adviser to Ukraine’s Defense Minister and Colonel of the medical service.
Currently, nearly 6,000 wounded soldiers have got assistance in military medical institutions of the Defense Ministry, 119 military have been treated abroad (not counting those who have been sent to rehabilitation) and 35 wounded ATO participants keep on being treated in other countries.
According to the Adviser to the Defense Minister of Ukraine, an intensive development of the defense department medical institutions, providing the rehabilitation services, has started since the previous year.
As of now, 138 soldiers are under rehab treatment in the health resorts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of 2015 close to1, 200 soldiers have been rehabilitated in the military hospitals, reports the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
