(QHA) - A voting for the logo of Lviv's bid to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2022 started on Monday, January 13, according to Ukrinform.
The national voting will continue until January 26, 2014 and will be held online on a special website www.lviv2022.in.ua, Oleksandr Vilkul, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for preparing and supporting a bid to the International Olympic Committee to host the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Ukraine, wrote on his Facebook page.
"Perhaps it would be wrong if the logo was chosen in offices. Therefore, we want to make the selection as public as possible. I invite you to take part in the online voting for the official logo of Lviv's bid to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2022. With your help, one of the four concepts will be chosen," Vilkul said.
A reminder that last November, Ukraine submitted a declaration to the International Olympic Committee and started the first in its history Olympic campaign on getting the right to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2022 in Lviv.
The city to host the 24th Winter Olympic Games will be elected in July 2015 at the IOC meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
