Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces welcome new Commander

Major-General Igor Lunev and Colonel Sergei Krivonos ended up being on a candidate shortlist to hold the post of commander of the Ukraine's Special Operations Forces.

According to the Facebook page of the General Staff, Viktor Muzhenko, the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces, told Ukrainian Military TV:

- Attestation Commission has identified Major General Lunev as a leading candidate and has already appointed him for the position by the Defense Minister’s order. Muzhenko also said that although all the positions in the command of the Special Operations Forces hav ebeen filled, "there is a lot of work to do."

According to him, the main task for the next year is to create a training center for Special Forces operations.
