Ukraine informed the UN Security Council about the escalation of the conflict in Donbas, reads the statement of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations.
"Ukraine has officially informed the Chairman of the UN Security Council about the latest attempts of Russia and Russian-backed militants to exacerbate the security situation in Donbas," the report says.
According to the report, the number of armed provocations against the ATO forces along the demarcation line continues to grow, despite the achievements of the recent Tripartite Meeting of the Contact Group on introduction of complete ceasefire.
The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations reports, that these provocations undermine not only the essence, logic and sequence of the Minsk Agreements but also negate all efforts of Ukraine and international community aimed to restore peace and stability. In fact, they make it impossible to implement the political part of the peaceful settlement.
