Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu held a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the city of Antalya.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Ankara informs that at the meeting the Head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry spoke about strengthening ties with Ukraine and noted the important role of the Ukrainian diaspora of Turkey in this respect.


In turn, the Ukrainians highly appreciated the concern of the Turkish government about them and expressed special gratitude for the fact that the country's authorities provided 600 children of the ATO fighters with the opportunity to spend their holidays in Turkey.


At the meeting, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora sang the famous song about the Battle of Chanakal.

Earlier, on January 26 the Ukrainian library opened in the Turkish capital of Ankara. At the library, which has about 1500 books, the Sunday school will operate.

The library also contains books devoted to Ukraine and the Crimea in Turkish. A "conversation club" for studying Ukrainian and Turkish is expected to be formed.
