Today, November 10, the trial on the case of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz continues in the occupied Crimea, the lawyer Nikolai Polozov informed on Twitter.

Polozov noted that the Court has already questioned two prosecution "witnesses" Andrey Kovalchuk and Valery Skripka. According to the lawyer, at the moment the court adjourned.

“Another break in the Chiygoz case due to the crashed video connection,” he wrote.

Earlier, Nikolay Polozov said that the so-called Crimean "Prime Minister" Sergei Aksenov to be questioned in November. He appears in the case as a prosecution witness.

Ahtem Chiygoz was detained by the occupying law enforcement officials and charged with rioting on February 26, 2014 in Simferopol. According to the lawyer of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis, the process of providing evidence by the prosecution is continuing. There are 84 victims in the case, 78 witnesses for the prosecution, of which 6 are secret witnesses and 34 defense witnesses. As of today, 74 victims and about ten prosecution witnesses were interrogated.
