Local residents did not like the initiative by Gennady Moskal, Governor of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. In turn, he blamed the village Council for people's indignation over renaming the street, according to "New time."

As a result, the village authorities decided to rename Lenin Street into Slavic Street.

As QHA reported earlier, within de-communization the Covernor of the Transcarpathia Gennady Moskal ordered to rename a number of settlements in the region.
