June 11, in the occupied Simferopol a great iftar was held, which was attended by about 300 people.
Reportedly, among the invited guests were Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov, veterans of the national movement, science, culture and arts figures, journalists, human rights activists and civil activists.
At the event, the participants read prayers, sang, wept, laughed, lamented and rejoiced that most of the Crimean Tatars lived in their historic homeland and had a unique opportunity to come together, give together prayers and just communicate with each other during this blessed month of Ramadan.
Also, before the Iftar, the performers sang song dedicated to the Crimea and the tragic events in the history of the people in the framework of the concert, besides, a video was shown on the poem of the journalist Lili Bujurova "Talking to the son".
It is noted that last year a big iftar was held on June 26 - the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag.
Earlier, QHA reported that the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Crimea with the support of Diyanet Turkey held a collective Iftar in Melitopol, on June 5.
