Switzerland has sent to a war zone in the Eastern Ukraine two convoys with medical goods and chemicals for water treatment facilities.

The second convoy of 14 trucks transports 245 tons of chemicals for water treatment in the city of Krasnoarmeysk. Part of the consignment with medical supplies and medicines will be delivered to a hospital in the town of Kurakhovo.

The Swiss humanitarian convoy is accompanied by seven representatives of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid, which is part of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit (SHA), and by employees at Switzerland's embassy and cooperation office in Kyiv.
