“Textbooks for elementary school students will have been translated and published by the end of the year. We have so far allocated a total of RUB 15 million for getting the textbooks translated and published. By the end of the year, biology, physics and chemistry textbooks will have been translated and published. I think we will have had enough textbooks of this kind by 2016,” said Natalya Goncharova, Minister of Education, Science and Youth, at a press conference held in Simferopol.
According to the Minister, Crimean Tatar language and literature textbooks are available in sufficient numbers.
This year, 24 classes will begin to get taught in the Crimean Tatar language at Crimean schools. In 15 out of a total of 540 schools in Crimea subjects get taught in the Crimean Tatar language.
