KYIV (QHA) -

Last night six houses burned at Kotsyubyns'kogo Street in the village of Kuru-Ozen (Solnechnogorsk), Alushta district.

The building was reported to catch fire September 29 at 04.06 a.m., according to the website of the main emergency department in Crimea. Fire and rescue units immediately arrived to the scene.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations said the fire occurred in the one-story residential building, constructed in 1917, where 12 people lived. Local residents said that before the deportation, these apartments were owned by the Crimean Tatars.

The fire injured two people: a woman of 1951 year of birth has been killed, while an elderly man with burns to 25% of his body has been taken to the Alushta city hospital, the report says. Earlier a local resident reported on the incident on Facebook.

According to updated information, one of the apartments was inhabited by people who liked to take a drink. Perhaps, this was the reason of the fire accident.
