Head of Congress of Russian communities of Crimea, MP of Crimea from “Russian Unity” party Sergey Shuvaynikov congratulated Refat Chubarov on his election as head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people.
“Refat Abdurahmanovich, I congratulate you on your election. You have got huge responsibility to those who elected you, to your people! I think you will withstand hardships. You are a strong person!”- wrote Shuvaynikov on his facebook page.
As reported, during Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people on October 27, the counting board has announced results of the election of a new head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people.
Refat Chubarov won by a narrow margin of 12 votes.
Refat Chubarov received 126 votes; Remzi Ilyasov received 114 votes.
In total, 242 Kurultay delegates participated in the vote.
