In Minsk (Belorussia), on February 26, to the fourth anniversary of the Crimea annexation, the film of the Ukrainian director, sentenced in Russia to 20 years in prison, Oleh Sentsov was shown. 

The meeting devoted to the film screening was organized by the Belarusian PEN Center in cooperation with the cultural center Korpus and the RosUznik initiative.

Visitors at the meeting were shown Sentsov's film Homer, for the filming of which the director sold his car and the computer club.

“This is the first and the last still completed tape. Today, unfortunately, we get acquainted with the lost author. His film is a message to the whole humanity," journalist and cultural analyst Maksim Zhbankov noted during the meeting. 

In addition, the organizers prepared postcards to let everyone write a letter to Oleh Sentsov.

QHA reported that in Brussels (Belgium) at the Ukrainian cinema festival called Ukraine on Film. Bridges: East of West, a screening of the film The Trial: The Russian State against Oleh Sentsov, directed by Askold Kurov, was shown on the last day of the 3rd Ukrainian Film Festival.

Reference: In August 2015, a court in the Russian Federation found Oleh Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko guilty of allegedly creating a "terrorist organization" in the Crimea, committing two terrorist attacks and plotting another one, as well as in an attempt to acquire explosives and illegal storage of weapons.

Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Kolchenko - to 10 years.
