The exercise will be held in the northwestern Black Sea and off the northern coast of Ukraine. This year’s exercise will be different not only in terms of scope, but also because a full-fledged land training, involving ground troops, air force and border guard units, as well as the Ukrainian Navy, will be conducted for the first time in recent years.
The representatives from other countries (members of Partnership for Peace program) will participate in Sea Breeze 2015 exercise together with Ukrainian and U.S. servicemen.
The scope of the exercise is impressive!
It will involve up to 2,500 military personnel, 5 submarines, up to 20 ships, 20 airplanes and helicopters, up to 100 wheeled vehicles as well as 10 patrol boats of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Sea Breeze 2015 multinational exercise seeks to increase the level of confidence and security in the region and enhance interoperability and capabilities amongst the Ukrainian Navy and NATO member and partner navies.
