International scientific conference "100th anniversary of Qurultay: Past, present, future" is taking place in Kyiv.

The conference takes place in the old academical building of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, where Svyatodukhovskaya church is located.
Organizers are: Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, scientific center "Crimean studios named after Ismail Gasprinsky", with the participation of the specialty "International relations, public communications and regional studios", the department of political science of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Social Technologies and with the support of the Jean Monnet department of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy".
At the conference, issue of studying the topic of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people from 1917 is raised, as well as the pressing issues of the Crimean Tatar identity.
Reference: The First Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people was opened on November 26 (December 9th in a new style) in 1917 in the Khans Palace in Bakhchysarai. It proclaimed the creation of the Crimean People's Republic, adopted its Constitution and state symbols, after which declared itself the parliament of the Crimean People's Republic. The government was headed by Noman Çelebicihan.
The Second Qurultay was convened already in 1991, two years after the mass return of the Crimean Tatars from the places where they lived after the deportation of 1944.
