SBU Head: ISIL and Russian ideologies are similar

A worldview of the "Russian world" and the "Islamic state" share a common denominator - intolerance and exceptionalism, said Vasyl Hrytsak, Head of the Ukraine’s Security Service.

According to Vasyl Hritsak, a similar philosophy of these seemingly different phenomena suggests their proximity.

- An interesting thing: ISIL and the "Russian world’" ideologies are similar by nature. They have much in common that is  exceptionalism and intolerance, Vasyl Hrytsak, Head of the Ukraine’s Security Service, said on Wednesday, March, 23 as cited by UNIAN.

Hrytsak went on saying he has not heard about serious detentions of IS terrorists by Russian Security Services in Russia.
