Russian tricolor from Mexico unfurled in Simferopol

Russian tricolor flag delivered on behalf of Antonio Chedraoui Tannous, Metropolitan of Mexico, Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean, was unfurled at the Lenin’s square in the capital of annexed Crimea on August 22, 2015.

The flag was forwarded by Viktoria Stasyuk, Head of NGO ‘Russian House in Mexico’.

According to the press service of the Council of Ministers, the flag is made of Mexican weight silk and its dimension are as follows: length 28 m, width 16 m, weight 100 kg, area 448 sq m. The tricolor was delivered from Mexio to Simferopol via New York, Frankfurt am Main and Moscow (17,000 km).

The event was attended by ‘Deputy Chairman of State Council of Crimea’ Konstantin Baharev, ‘member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of Crimea’ Sergei Tsekov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of RF in CFD (Crimean Federal District) Vladimir Bobrovskiy, as well as representatives of national and municipal authorities of annexed Crimea.
