In the city of Armyansk, located on the temporarily Russian-occupied territory of the Crimea, a mass brawl occurred between the locals and Russian servicemen deployed on the peninsula, the General Directorate of Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported on Facebook.
“Atrocities and illegal actions of Russian troops against civilians in the temporarily occupied Crimea continue. On January 30, in one of the cafes of the city Armyansk a mass brawl occurred involving 27 servicemen of battalion tactical group (Filatovka) 51 Parachute Regiment 106 Airborne Division (Tula) of the RF Armed Forces who voluntarily left the field camps, and local residents,” the report says.
The intelligence stressed that the incident was provoked by the Russian soldiers who, being intoxicated, badly treated the staff of the cafe and humiliated the Crimean Tatar visitors.
Earlier, during a press conference in Kyiv on January 26, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Gayana Yuksel said that in the near future increased repression is predicted against members of the Mejlis, as well as against the participants of mass protests in Crimea.
