During the joint scientific and technical council of the Crimean "authorities" with "Rosavtodor", decisions were not taken on further steps to repair the highway section Simferopol-Bakhchisarai-Sevastopol, which collapsed as a result of a landslide. The corresponding information was provided by the press service of the self-proclaimed Sevastopol government.
The Crimean authorities received recommendations regarding the construction of a pipeline under the road on the site, and Rosavtodor planned to carry out additional analysis within a week.
“April 14, a scientific and technical council was held at Rosavtodor, but no final decision has yet been made on further steps. Experts asked for a week to further analyze the results of the examination. We are given recommendations on strengthening the drainage system: from now on the contractor will begin laying the pipeline under the road section.”
Earlier, QHA reported by that the traffic was limited on the section of the route Simferopol - Bakhchisarai - Sevastopol in the evening of March 9 in connection with the urgent repairs due to the landslide that occurred earlier.
April 4, the "government" of the occupied Sevastopol held a closed meeting via the videoconference to discuss the landslide issue on the Sevastopol-Simferopol highway. According to the participants, the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Rosavtodor announced the decision to repair the Sevastopol road collapse under special control due to the vague position of local "authorities" regarding the terms and scope of work.
Currently, no works are carried out in the landslide area, the asphalt was completely removed and geological surveys are being conducted.
April 10, the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated proceedings into the negligence of Sevavtodor in connection with the collapse on the Sevastopol-Simferopol highway in the Mekenzievy mountains in the occupied Crimea.
