The tender, announced in Russia for the construction of the rail access to the Kerch bridge leading to the occupied Crimea, did not take place.
The reason for this, for the third time, was the absence of applications filed, UNN reports.
According to the conditions of the tender, the construction of the railway to the Kerch bridge is to be completed by November 2019. What’s more, the contract was estimated at RUB 17 billion.
According to the Russian media, the main reason for the absence of applications can be the fact that a contractor is subjected to sanctions, as Russian company that supported the annexation of Crimea.
As QHA reported earlier, the Federal Agency for Railway Transport of Russia announced twice the tender to develop the plan on construction of access to Kerch bridge. Both attempts failed due to the absence of applications.
