Russia is preparing a large-scale provocation in order to accuse Ukraine of ‘genocide against Russian-speaking population’ of Donbas, Andrei Lysenko, Presidential Administration spokesman for ATO issues reports.

“Its purpose is to discredit our country leadership, obtain a reason for filing a lawsuit against Ukraine to the International Criminal Court in The Hague and provide a basis for withdrawal of Russia from the Minsk process. The document materials are being currently prepared with regard to alleged destruction by Ukrainian military of 400 houses and killing 500 residents of Sokilnyky village (Slovianoserbsk district of Luhansk region), which is now located on the temporarily occupied territory not far from the demarcation line,” said Andrei Lysenko.

According to him, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the Main Intelligence Directorate and The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of DPR and LPR (Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics) are involved into the preparation of provocation. They are expected to use the real facts of the village destruction and killing people by terrorists in cause of combat operations in late 2014 – early 2015.
