Crimea is still without electricity. Especially acute situation observed in the remote villages of the peninsular, which have already been cut off electricity for several days. Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, being unprepared for such consequences, continues to spend efforts and means to provide socially important facilities and rural settlements with power, press service of the Russian Emergency Situation Ministry reports.
“In order to provide the socially important facilities and rural settlements with power, the Russian Federation Ministry for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters has sent to Crimea extra 300 mobile electric generators with capacity of 4 and 6 kW,” the press service of the agency reports.
According to the statement, 300 generators were delivered to Crimea before, and now there are 600 units. Moreover, rescue workers delivered trawls, truck cranes, fuel trucks and 168 additional storage tanks with fuel for machinery and generators.
The agency reports that the emergency workers pay special attention to the elderly, delivering water and food to the energy and utility services with help of mobile units of the Emergency Situations Ministry.
Russia is planning to further deliver 8 life-supporting systems, 25 light towers and 4 loudspeaker vans, as well as 10 fuel trucks.
