KIEV (QHA) -

Sergey Grigoryev, a biologist and consultant with the Mezhigorye zoo, posted a message on his Facebook page inviting vendors to bring unsold Christmas trees to the zoo where they will be fed to the hoofed animals.

“Personnel of the Mezhigorye’s zoo is accepting any number of unsold Christmas trees as free gifts. Our hoofed animals, such as goats, reindeers and antelopes, will be really happy to get a gift like this!” Grigoryev writes.

A caption under the photo taken by Grigoryev says: “In my right hand I’m holding what remains of a fur tree after it has been gnawed away by the reindeers. They even ate the bark off the trunk!”.
