Civil organization “Qirim”, created by vice-speaker of Crimean Parliament Remzi Ilyasov held a meeting Nov 9 in Crimean city of Saki.
The meeting was attended by 300 delegates, among them Crimean deputy Prime Minister Ruslan Balbek, vice-speaker of Crimean Parliament Remzi Ilyasov, head of the State Committee on Interethnic Affairs and Deported Citizens Zaur Smirnov and head of Mejlis office of Saki Eskender Bilyalov.
According to Bilyalov, the meeting was aimed at discussion of issues of Crimean Tatars.
“We have discussed life of Crimean Tatars on their homeland, discussed what we have gained after joining Russia and discussed negative statements made by Ukraine and our former leaders.”
Bilyalov assured that the “Qirim” organization was not created as an alternative to Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people – representative body of Crimean Tatars-- or the Kurultay—Crimean Tatar assembly.
To recall, former Mejlis member, now deputy chairman of Crimean Parliament Remzi Ilyasov, has initiated creation of Crimean Tatar social organization “Qirim”, supported by local and federal authorities, to deal with the issues of Crimean Tatar people.
