Vadim Siruk will be tried Sept 6 at 12.00 p.m., Refat Alimov 2.00 p.m., Bogacheva wrote on Facebook.
She also voiced hope that people who defend the rights of the Crimean Tatars will attend the hearings and support the defendants detained on trumped-up charges.
February, 11 a wave of searches swept through the Crimean Tatars’ houses targeting to discredit them as "terrorists". The security forces often acted aggressively – broke windows and forcibly took away people.During the interrogation, the detainees were asked whether they or their friends are terrorists, whether they engage in any extremist organization and are going to Syria.
Eight of the twelve detainees have been released, while Emir Usein Kuku, Vadim Siruk, Enver Bekirov and Muslim Aliyev are still being held in custody. A hearing in the case of the detainees is to be held today. Prior to being arrested, Emir Usein Kuku was engaged in human rights activities, recorded the human rights violations in the Crimea.
