SIMFEROPOL / AQMESCIT (QHA) -

In the annexed Crimea, the Kremlin-controlled Kyiv district court of Simferopol extended the measure of restraint against Seyran Saliev, Suleiman Asanov and Memet Bilyalov - the defendants of the fabricated "Hizb ut-Tahrir case”, the human rights organization Crimean Solidarity reported on Facebook.

All three will be in jail until June 9, 2018. Human rights activists note that relatives of Crimean Tatar activists were in the courtroom during the trial.

“The provided room was small, despite the large number of people on the street who wanted to be listeners. The children were also prevented from entering the courtroom and they were watching the trial on the screen," the activists report.

Reference:  In October last year in Bakhchysarai several homes of Crimean Tatar activists were searched at the same time.

October 12, 2017, the Kremlin-controlled court of the Kyiv district of Simferopol, arrested all the detained Crimean Tatars for two months.

Detained activists are charged with "a crime against the fundamentals of Russia's national security, constitutional order and territorial integrity."
