Russian President Vladimir Putin began his visit to the occupied peninsula with the inspection of the Crimean bridge construction.
According to the information of the Crimean media, he began to examine the bridge from the Taman shore, where he was greeted by the so-called Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, the leadership of the Krasnodar Territory and other officials.
Putin said that the traffic over the bridge could begin in May this year.
“An interesting object, a mighty one and it is likely to be finished even ahead of time. It would be desirable, of course, that people could already take advantage of it in the summer season,” he said.
Earlier QHA reported that Putin in the Crimea will visit the Kerch bridge and Simferopol airport. The Head of the Kremlin came to the Crimea a few days before the presidential elections in Russia, which will also be illegally held in the occupied Crimea on March 18.
Previously, it became known that during the construction of the Crimean bridge it will be guarded by combat divers.
