September, 26 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on demobilization of servicemen of the 6th wave.
The defenders of the Fatherland, who were mobilized in the past year amid a so-called "sixth wave", will return home to their families by the end of October. I’ve signed the relevant decree, the president wrote on Facebook.
He also wrote that "as soon as the last 6th wave serviceman is released only contractors will remain at the front."
As well as now, draft-age men won’t be sent to the ATO zone, said Poroshenko.
The sixth wave of mobilization began June 19, 2015 and was completed the same year August, 17. The exact amount of the mobilized was not announced.
