Pope Francis the I has established a special Committee on the distribution of donations for Ukrainians affected by the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, reported "Radio Vatican".

The Committee was created on the eve of the visit to Ukraine of the Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, due to be held June15-20.

Since this fundraising is a personal initiative of Pope Francis I, the project will be represented by Secretariat of State and the Pontifical Council Cor Unum via the Apostolic Nunciature in Ukraine.

The main office of the new Committee will be located in a curia of the diocese of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya.

The volunteers with the Committee will provide for the delivery of funds to the affected population, according to a message.
